A Little Ass in Your Glass

This story caught my eye, because our community is also served by a freshwater reservoir which is unfiltered.

Luckily for us, up here the water is colder than a brass bra and capped off.

A couple in Portland were caught skinny-dipping in the Mt. Tabor reservoir, which serves as part of the community's tap water. Fortunately for the townspeople, they were swimming in an area that was currently off-line, or the water bureau would have had to shut off the reservoir and consider dumping millions of gallons for cleanliness issues.

Of course, inquiring minds and all....

Since the water is untreated, and presumably at some point that part of the reservoir is going to be going BACK online, do officials think that stray pubes and skin cells are going to disintegrate? Or sink to the bottom? Or what?

Ok, I know---I watch too much CSI. LOL

Going back up to the big city to take Big Kid to the Stone Temple Pilots reunion tour.

Catch up in a couple of days!

I've met several people who talk about reservoirs as if they are swimming holes. I always thought it was kind of gross.

Some how I think the water gets a lot more contamination from random ducks, geese and you don't want to know what the fish do in that water.

I'd be more worried about all the stuff that is returned to us with the rain. Smoke from factories, exhaust from cars and who knows what else is far worse than what two people skinny dipping might leave behind.

Are you sure they were just swimming in the water? What if they were doing it? Ew, I just grossed myself out thinking about drinking water with "swimmers" in it! LOL!! What the Hell, fish do it in the water we drink! ;)
I'm so jealous about the Stone Temple Pilots concert. Can you pick me up on your way? Too bad I'm the Opposite direcion. Just my luck!! Have a wonderful time and tell them that Tracey said to say "Hi!" Hugs!!

I agree with ntsc up there, and I'd make sure it was treated before I made my tea with it. There's really no telling what you're drinking even with treated water from city water systems.

That. Is. So. Gross.

They should bottle up all the water and make the people who were swimming in it drink it. And pay for the loss.

I'm going out right now for a fresh, new water filter.
