Wanna-be Parents Behaving Badly

In yet another case of baby-rabies gone wild, the body of a St. Louis woman was found with her fetus cut out of her womb. Chief on the list of suspects is a cousin, who confided to her boyfriend that the "stillborn" baby they recently buried wasn't actually theirs.

Update---the woman was a friend, not a cousin, and is now being charged in the deaths of the victim's three other children. The bodies were found yesterday.

This came hot on the heels of the kidnapping of baby Abigail Woods, also of Missouri, which fortunately didn't end in the death of either baby or mother (not for lack of trying on the part of the suspect though---mom suffered a slashed throat).

Last year in Missouri, a similar crime happened when Bobby Jo Stinnet was murdered, her baby cut out of her body and stolen. The baby was later rescued, unharmed, in Kansas.

Makes a person wonder...

What in the hell do they put in the water in Missouri?

This is nuts! Seriously, something is not wired right in their heads.

Is it possible the media coverage of these types of crimes gives other sickos the idea?
Just wondering...

WTF is wrong with people??? They think no one will notice that they weren't pregnant?? Crazy. All that fuss over a puking, pooping, crying, keep you up all night little monster. I keep telling people that the cats at least sleep through the night. And you don't have to pay for college.

How embarassing. Fortunately, although I live in St. Louis, I am not a native.

I think it has something to do with being the meth capital of the entire world. And, if that doesn't rot your brains, I hear there's a fair amount of lead in the water.

This is sick in a funny way, but when they issued the amber alert for baby Abigale last week, they were describing the perp as a woman with "a female moustache."

Atilla - I promise those are the rotten apples.

Aren't those stories just awful?! I just can't believe what some people will do to try to pass another child off as their own. I guess I just can't understand the desperation these people feel.

Once again my mind is boggled - I can understand someone longing for a child, but to go to those lengths is completely crazy. It's probably a good thing that didn't manage to have any of their own.

I have to agree. It's sick, really. And those poor babies. I guess the one positive with that is the fact that they are so young, they'll hardly remember.

That is why I'm praying for Iraq to use the bomb! We need to seriously rinse the crap outta the gene pool. I think a nice mushroom cloud aught to be just the thing.

When convicted, send her to the men's prison for her term.

Got no sympathy here.

I just realized....I posted on this after they found the bodies of the kids and the piece of shit confessed. Sorry...I didn't mean to "steal your post idea." It just hit me how blase the woman....I mean...piece of shit was after she did the unspeakable shit.

As a parent...I can't even fathom what was going through her....I mean...that piece of shit's mind.

it's just awful- and I live (in ILLINOIS mind you) in the area, so for 2 weeks all we've heard is terrible baby news. at first it was easy to think one crime led to the other, but it seems they were happening at about the same time. I was surprised they found the first baby & got her back - thats not how that usually works. ICK
