Happy 4th!

After two really vicious hailstorms in the last week, I'm happy to say that my flowers in the front have survived. Unfortunately, all the container plants on the back deck were beat to heck.

But my peony is finally in bloom!! Isn't it gorgeous?

Here's a wider shot, so you can see this big ol' bush with one flower. There isn't a bud anywhere else on the plant!

My columbines and pansies made it through without much damage too.

Hope you guys have a great holiday. Stay safe!

COlumbine is gorgeous. It's too hot to grow it here, alas, and pansies are a wintertime flower for me.
The peony is LOVELY, good that you took a picture for posterity.

Wonder if a peony would survive the Houston heat? I think one or 2 would look neat among Mrs Myron's other stuff.

I'm scared of the flowers in the garden here. I have no idea why. I'm so weird.

Your flowers are beautiful. I'm still laughing over the one flower on that particular bush, lol.

My landscaping is lush with leafy shrubs but I wish I had the time or patience to bring some color to it. I enjoy gardening but not enough to plant annuals, just perennials.

Uch, thanks for reminding me that I have some pruning to do, lol.
